This past week, we observed, touched, and tried to catch a grasshopper, a toad, colorful birds, and many butterflies. You know what they say...It's true...The world IS our classroom!!
Penmanship: Horizons 1 (for J), Letters,memory verses, short stories/paragraphs, etc.
Language Arts/Phonics: Consonant digraphs, Blends, etc., Horizons K and 1
Reading: Read Aloud- The Mouse and the Motorcycle, Bob books, Easy Readers, Psalms and Proverbs,
Math: Abeka Arithmetic 1 and 2 History: Unit Study on U.S. Presidents Geography: Unit Study on United States Science: Inventors and Inventions study from Confessions of a Homeschooler's blog Music: Various composers (We read about the composer and listen to his music while doing schoolwork.) Typing: Typing Web Tutor
- Prayer Journals/Gratitude Journals - Once a week Science Experiments - Field Trips: Zoo, Aquarium, Bread Factory, Apple Orchard, Library, Gymnastics/Karate, U.S. Bureau of Engraving & Printing, Museum of Nature & Science, Rangers game - Character Study (2 Timothy 2:15) - Art Journals - Weekly verse(s) and prayer requests on white board
