this week, the letter g

Once again, not very many pictures!

1 John 4:8
"God is love."
(learning God's Word)

G is for Goldilocks and the Three Bears
I told them the story, and we cut out pictures of the Bear family's chairs, beds, and 3 bowls of porridge. Then, we placed them all in order smallest to largest.
(practicing left to right habit for reading and writing)

G is for Gumballs
Take a picture of a gumball machine and cut out some "gumballs" (aka, circles!)
Roll the number dice and put that many gumballs in your machine.
(practicing number recognition)

G is for glow in the dark stickers to decorate your room with!!
(just something for fun)

G is for the color green

(practicing cutting and gluing)

and G is for many other things :)

And just for fun, our alphabet train puzzle
(practicing letter recognition, starting the alphabet somewhere other than the letter "A," taking turns, and being patient with your little brother when he tries to tear up your work!)

this week, the letter f

We attempted to dye flowers red, pink, green, and blue.

The only one to KIND of turn out was the blue, but I didn't get a picture :(

We wrote F words on the chalkboard,

made "stained glass" fish

did some free painting,
went to the petting farm (after making a Farm Animals booklet),

made some fish with our footprints,
some F's with our fingerprints,
and ate some yummy fish food (gummy worms :) )

Our Bible verse was John 3:16
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son."

We read:
Dr. Seuss' The Foot Book,
Froggy Eats Out,
Franklin Goes to the Hospital,
and a book about fish

this week, the letter e

This week, we learned about the letter E (and Elephants and Emergencies!),
the #6, the 4th of July, and shapes!
We had a very busy week outside of school work, so there aren't many pictures.
I was doing well just to fit some school work in here and there!

We sorted our puff balls into a painted egg carton,
then used them to practice number recognition.

A favorite book this week:
