happiness

...after a sick day yesterday...

some outside time,

water play,

working in the garden

and laughter were good for the soul!

...we are thankful today for blue skies and sunshine...

good, clean fun

...it's so much easier to play in peace and calm when
your room is clean and your toys are organized!! it's also easier
to share when you have ALL of your cars in one box,
as opposed to all over the house in who-knows-what box...

thinking outside the box

...i can paint with a sponge
i can paint with a brush
i can paint with many tools
but i won't learn as much...

...if i paint with my hands
my fingers and such
i can feel so much more
with my own special touch...

...would like to try to convince my husband to keep some of this "mess"

in the backyard for outside play time.
we'll see if i succeed...

It's been a while!!!

...it's been awhile since i have posted on this blog.

it's been awhile since i have done any kind of learning activities with the boys (whoops, can i blame morning sickness?)
it's been awhile since i have done a good job of reading aloud to the boys (other than just the routine bedtime stuff.)

well, i reconciled those yesterday!!
we went to the library and picked up all of these books
(and read three of them during lunch and the rest of them
on the couch after rest time)


and later, a little fun with texture - finger painting!!
